Designer - Women's Apparel

As a Designer in Women's Apparel at Nordstrom, you will be responsible for supporting design leadership in building seasonal brand design direction. This temporary position is a hybrid role based in Seattle, WA, requiring in-office work at least three days a week.

• Support design leadership in building seasonal brand design direction for the assigned area.
• Conduct continuous research to understand customer trends and shifts in the competitive landscape.
• Own concept and design for the assignment, ensuring alignment with brand design direction and line plan needs.
• Research materials, select fabrics and trims, and collaborate with the print team to bring textile applications to life.
• Partner with design leadership to color the line and curate visual tools for seasonal storytelling.
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

• Bachelor's degree in Design preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the design industry.
• Clear and effective communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Adobe CS, MS Office suite, and hand-sketching.
• Strong time management and multitasking skills.
• Understanding of industry trends within the active space.
