Job Description

Summary

As a Digital Merchandiser for Seller Acquisition at Nordstrom Marketplace, you will play a crucial role in expanding our marketplace by pitching and signing new brands. Your deep understanding of brand and trend knowledge will be essential in assessing brand fit for Nordstrom's marketplace. You will be part of a growing team, taking initiative to enhance strategies for optimal business performance.

Responsibilities
  • Acquire sellers based on marketplace sourcing strategies aligned with category frameworks.
  • Vet sellers and strategies to ensure a high-quality digital experience.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for accelerated growth.
  • Collaborate with Category Management to align on sourcing strategies.
  • Partner with marketplace brands and sellers to grow the business and deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Negotiate strategic contracts with top brands and sellers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or a similar role, preferably within the retail or e-commerce industry.
  • Excellent Excel skills with the ability to analyze data.
  • Strong understanding of fashion trends and brand knowledge.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively pitch the marketplace program.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
