Director, Architecture & Design

Summary

Lead the North American expansion of Next Generation Design Galleries, guiding projects from site identification through design, construction, and opening. Translate the design vision into exceptional spaces while aligning with merchandising, operational, and construction needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead Gallery rollout projects, including consultant onboarding, planning, entitlements, permit sets, and construction administration.
• Develop architectural standards and details, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on design and operational requirements.
• Partner with Construction to resolve on-site design challenges and review submittals and shop drawings.
• Support hospitality and retail fixture design, development, and sourcing, and incorporate Gallery Preservation feedback into future designs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of large-scale, high-end retail or hospitality design experience, including managing concurrent projects through opening.
• Degree in architecture preferred; proven experience leading teams of architects and designers.
• Experience presenting in executive-level project reviews and translating design direction into successful execution.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Google Workspace, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication, time-management, and collaboration skills; ability to travel approximately 25%.
