Director - Long Term Planning

Summary

The Director of Strategy & Planning is a finance leadership role responsible for driving long-term financial planning, enterprise capital allocation, and value-creation initiatives. This role translates strategic priorities into actionable financial plans and partners with executive leadership to support disciplined investment decisions. The director provides financial insights to inform portfolio optimization and enterprise transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise long-range planning process, developing 3–5 year financial outlooks and scenario models.
• Maintain and own the integrated 3-statement financial model and lead annual and rolling forecasts.
• Perform variance analysis and drive improvements in forecast accuracy.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, develop business cases, and conduct ROI and M&A financial analysis.
• Partner with the CFO and executive team to set financial targets, capital allocation frameworks, and strategic roadmaps.
• Drive cross-functional alignment on performance metrics and strategic priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate strategy, investment banking, or consulting.
• Expert-level 3-statement financial modeling skills, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Strong experience in long-range planning, capital allocation, and strategic finance.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and communicate effectively with executive teams and the board.
