Director Of Accounting

As the Director of Accounting at Valentino, you will play a pivotal role in managing all accounting operations across the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Reporting to the Americas CFO, you will provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. This position offers a hybrid working schedule, combining in-office and remote work.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the accounting team, setting goals and facilitating professional development.
• Collaborate with the Americas management team and Valentino Headquarters in Milan.
• Manage vendor relationships related to income tax, governmental agencies, auditors, banks, and insurance.
• Direct the month-end close process for US, Canada, and Mexico, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, lease accounting, cost accounting, and tax accounting.
• Champion best practices, standard operating procedures, and internal controls.
• Oversee risk management and ensure the integrity of accounting data within the SAP S4H system.
• Support sustainability reporting initiatives and manage tax and treasury functions.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• CPA certification required.
• Experience in retail and wholesale accounting.
• SAP S4H experience.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• High standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
