Summary
Lead the strategy, development, and delivery of Nordstrom's agentic software delivery platform. The role oversees multi-agent systems that support product development from planning through production, with a focus on engineering rigor, safety, and responsible AI adoption.
Responsibilities
- Define the platform strategy and roadmap in alignment with business and technology goals.
- Lead development of agent tools and delivery lifecycle capabilities, including policy gates and guardrails.
- Partner with Security, UX, Architecture, Data Science, Product, and engineering teams on governance and platform standards.
- Drive adoption of open agent standards and establish practices for building, shipping, monitoring, and retiring agents.
- Grow and mentor a high-performing engineering team and support AI-native team rollouts across business domains.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of software engineering experience, including 5 or more years in leadership roles.
- Experience leading platform, developer-tools, or agentic AI engineering teams.
- Strong technical background in production agentic AI systems, multi-agent orchestration, context engineering, and agent evaluations.
- Experience designing or enforcing policy-as-code controls in a regulated or high-stakes environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Available to work at the Seattle corporate headquarters at least 4 days per week.
