Summary
Lead the strategy and engineering execution for merchandising planning technology with a focus on ML driven decision automation and integrated merchandising solutions. Partner with data science and cross functional leaders to build roadmaps, deliver outcomes that improve profitability and inventory productivity, and oversee teams responsible for Financial Planning Assortment Planning Selection and Procurement systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee development and implementation of merchandising technology solutions across planning and procurement domains
- Partner with data science to embed analytics and ML driven decision automation into product workflows
- Define and execute a multi year technology roadmap aligned to business priorities
- Evaluate solutions and vendor partners and recommend build versus buy approaches
- Drive cross functional alignment with engineering UX and business leaders
- Forecast talent and organizational needs and build high performing engineering teams
- Manage risks constraints and change to enable teams to deliver strategic priorities
- Develop data driven recommendations to optimize assortment and inventory productivity
- Communicate vision and influence senior leaders and external stakeholders
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in merchandising inventory or supply chain engineering in retail or ecommerce
- 5+ years leading and developing engineering teams
- Experience with third party merchandising solutions such as O9 Toolio SAP Anaplan or Oracle Retail
- Proven ability to apply data science and ML to solve inventory problems
- Experience identifying network inefficiencies and developing operational insights
- Strong stakeholder management and change leadership experience
- Ability to define measure and analyze processes to identify improvements
- Effective written and verbal communication across levels
