Summary
The Director of Human Resources will lead and develop core HR operations and practices for a growing, multistate organization. This hands-on role partners with business leaders and supports the retail organization while helping scale systems, policies, and employee programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead employee lifecycle operations, including onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee relations, leaves, compliance, and offboarding.
- Own HRIS administration, data integrity, and process improvements.
- Advise leaders on employee relations, performance, organizational changes, and workforce matters.
- Support retail leadership on talent, performance, employee relations, and workforce needs.
- Develop HR policies, performance management, talent development, compensation, and engagement practices.
- Manage relationships with benefits, HRIS, payroll, and other external vendors.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience in a multistate organization.
- Experience managing multistate payroll and benefits and supporting hourly and salaried employees.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, employee relations, and performance management.
- Experience advising senior leaders and administering an HRIS; Rippling experience is preferred.
- Strong judgment, discretion, organization, communication, and ability to balance strategic work with hands-on execution.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degree or HR certification is a plus.
