Director Of Operations

Summary

The Director of Operations drives store profitability by ensuring efficient support of the selling process and a strong customer shopping experience. This role oversees store operations, financial performance, staffing, facilities, technology, and key human resources processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead support departments and store management to ensure resources and processes enable selling.
• Manage store financial performance, including profit and loss, budgets, expenses, accounting tasks, and payroll.
• Oversee merchandise receiving, processing, fulfillment, transfers, and back-of-house organization.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, facilities, maintenance, renovations, and technology in partnership with corporate teams.
• Oversee store-level human resources processes, associate relations, audits, employee records, leave administration, and workers compensation follow-up.
• Maintain store conditions that support the customer experience, including cleanliness, music, and temperature.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in retail roles of increasing responsibility and volume.
• Knowledge of expense management, profit and shortage control, and basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency with available technology, including Google Workspace programs.
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience preferred.
