SummaryAs the Director of Visual Merchandising at Valentino, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the Visual Merchandising strategy across North America. Responsibilities- Oversee a team of 7, focusing on their professional development and growth.
- Design and oversee production of customized merchandising elements for open-service environments in North America.
- Build collaborative relationships with retail partners, display vendors, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
- Partner with Executive Leadership and Retail Events on budget, timing, and scheduling for merchandising tools.
- Create concepts to support regionally relevant VM initiatives and oversee the development and execution of merchandising guidelines.
- Monitor and evaluate all VM initiatives in terms of sales, feasibility, and profitability.
- Conduct routine market visits to review and assess VM initiatives.
- Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of highly effective VM professionals.
Requirements- 8+ years of retail industry Visual Merchandising experience, preferably in luxury fashion.
- BS or BA in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Store Design, or Visual Merchandising.
- Fluent in Italian preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional project management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop, Sketchup, Vector works, and Rhino.
