Director Of Visual Merchandising

As the Director of Visual Merchandising at Valentino, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the Visual Merchandising strategy across North America. This role requires ensuring consistency and high visual standards that represent the brand image while focusing on delivering profitable business drivers within our fastest growing channels. You will work in a hybrid schedule, based in our New York office.

• Oversee a team of 7, focusing on their professional development and growth.
• Design and oversee production of customized merchandising elements for open-service environments in North America.
• Build collaborative relationships with retail partners, display vendors, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
• Partner with Executive Leadership and Retail Events on budget, timing, and scheduling for merchandising tools.
• Create concepts to support regionally relevant VM initiatives and oversee the development and execution of merchandising guidelines.
• Monitor and evaluate all VM initiatives in terms of sales, feasibility, and profitability.
• Conduct routine market visits to review and assess VM initiatives.
• Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of highly effective VM professionals.

• 8+ years of retail industry Visual Merchandising experience, preferably in luxury fashion.
• BS or BA in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Store Design, or Visual Merchandising.
• Fluent in Italian preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional project management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop, Sketchup, Vector works, and Rhino.
