Job Description

Summary

The Director of Workforce Management will lead workforce planning, scheduling, and optimization efforts, including cross-functional process improvement leadership. This role is critical in aligning our workforce with business goals and operational needs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive workforce management strategies to optimize staffing levels and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Lead the workforce planning process, including forecasting, scheduling, and real-time management of workforce resources.
  • Lead process improvement projects utilizing Lean & Six Sigma tools and philosophies.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor and analyze workforce performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with department heads and HR to understand staffing needs and develop solutions to address workforce challenges.
  • Partner with functional teams to ensure workforce management processes align with business ambitions, company policies, and labor regulations.
  • Implement and maintain workforce management systems and tools to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the workforce management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Prepare and present reports on workforce metrics, performance, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 9+ years of experience in workforce management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience leading and participating in process improvement projects, preferably with Lean / Six Sigma certifications (Green/Black Belt).
  • Strong knowledge of workforce management principles, practices, and tools.
  • Proficiency in workforce management software and data analytics.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Flexibility to respond to unexpected challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in workforce planning and scheduling.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule including varied hours/days including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
