Job Description

Summary

As the Director of Retail Training, you will be responsible for enhancing the competencies of individual employees by conducting training programs that align with the company’s vision, business needs, and core values. You will oversee the planning and implementation of training initiatives to ensure they are consistent with the business strategy and organizational needs.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee planning and implementation of local and worldwide training initiatives.
  • Ensure the brand image is respected and the highest level of client experience is delivered.
  • Foster a culture of learning by engaging with teams and delivering impactful trainings.
  • Develop instructional materials and manuals following global training guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and coaching on training methodology and instructional delivery.
  • Collaborate with global training departments to ensure consistency in training.
  • Organize and deliver classroom programs for newly hired and advanced retail employees.
  • Lead the organization of the annual training calendar for the AMER region.
  • Travel across the AMER region to ensure consistency of training delivery.
  • Assess training effectiveness and evaluate ongoing programs.
  • Lead the mystery shopping process and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Act as a strategic partner with business leaders to align training projects.
  • Monitor the usage of e-learning tools and stay abreast of new trends in employee development.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in a management or retail training role in the luxury industry.
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of learning management software.
  • Understanding of adult learning and blended learning preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of luxury retail, client experience, and selling skills.
  • Knowledge of competitors and general fashion knowledge required.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to plan yearly training.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present information to various audiences.
