Overview

Join a leading contemporary women's fashion brand based in New York City, renowned for innovative designs and high-quality products. The Director of Retail and Merchandising will oversee the flagship store in the Meatpacking District while driving product selection and merchandising for both retail and e-commerce platforms. This role is pivotal in expanding the store network and requires a strong merchant sensibility with a background in contemporary women's wear. Collaborating closely with the CEO, brand founder, and design team, the Director will help shape collections that elevate the brand and attract a growing clientele.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the operations of the flagship retail location in the Meatpacking District.
• Drive product and collection merchandising and buying for both in-store and e-commerce channels.
• Collaborate with the design team and brand founder to develop collections and assortments that align with the brand's vision.
• Lead the expansion of the store network, providing strategic direction and merchant expertise.
• Work closely with the CEO and founder to tell the brand story and attract a growing client base.
• Ensure exceptional customer experience through effective store management and merchandising strategies.

• Based in downtown New York and able to work in-person four days a week.
