Distribution Center Associate - Picking

Summary

The Distribution Center Associate - Picking performs receiving, storing, picking, put-away, and shipping functions to support timely and accurate order fulfillment. The role focuses on maintaining safety, security, and productivity standards within the warehouse in North East, MD. This position supports loading and staging outbound shipments and ensures product is handled to prevent damage.

Responsibilities

• Receive pallets and complete receipts by purchase order
• Stage and load outbound trailers following shipping best practices
• Ensure accuracy and proper orientation of loads to prevent damage
• Stack and organize items to facilitate safe unloading and handling
• Perform putaway, picking, and shipping activities accurately to meet productivity goals
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment and follow safety regulations

Requirements

• 1+ years of distribution experience
• Basic mathematics and reading skills
• Strong understanding of inventory flow and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to consistently lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing
