Distribution Center Associate

Summary

Responsible for accurate receiving, storing, picking, put-away, and shipping of product in the distribution center while maintaining safety, security and productivity standards. Operates to ensure product integrity and efficient inventory flow within warehouse operations. Performs physical tasks including lifting, staging, loading and maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive pallets and verify completed receipts by purchase order
• Stage and load outbound trailers following shipping best practices
• Ensure accurate and safe stacking and loading of cartons and library items
• Perform put-away, picking and shipping tasks without damaging product
• Maintain productivity to meet individual, team and departmental goals
• Follow safety procedures and comply with federal, state and local laws
• Keep warehouse consistently clean and free of debris
• Conduct physical tasks including prolonged standing, twisting, stooping and climbing

Requirements

• 1+ years of distribution experience
• Basic mathematics and reading skills
• Strong understanding of inventory flow
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to consistently lift a minimum of 50 lbs
