Distribution Center Associate - Shipping

Summary

The Distribution Center Associate - Shipping is responsible for accurate receiving, storing, picking, put-away, and shipping of product to meet safety, security and productivity standards. This role supports outbound trailer staging and loading while protecting product integrity and following warehouse best practices. The position is physically demanding and requires consistent adherence to quality and productivity goals.

Responsibilities

• Receive pallets and complete receipts by purchase order, aligning shipments by vendor.
• Stage and load outbound trailers according to shipping best practices and load accuracy standards.
• Ensure correct stacking and orientation of cartons to prevent damage during transit.
• Organize library items and secure loads to facilitate safe unloading and handling.
• Maintain accurate product storage, putaway, picking, and shipping procedures.
• Meet individual, team and departmental productivity and performance goals.
• Operate in a safe manner consistent with federal, state, and local regulations and keep the warehouse clean and debris-free.

Requirements

• 1+ years of distribution or warehouse experience.
• Basic mathematics and reading skills; strong understanding of inventory flow.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to consistently lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Capacity for prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing.
