Responsibilities

• Operate a double-needle sewing machine to sew decorative stitches and topstitching on fabric and leather upholstery.
• Read production tickets and sewing notes, and assemble parts to meet quality standards.
• Use scissors and other hand tools, and maintain assigned sewing machines through preventive maintenance.
• Support other duties and work areas as needed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role and knowledge of upholstery products.
• Ability to read and understand production tickets.
• Communication skills to work with team members and ability to multitask with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, twist, kneel, squat, climb, and lift or move furniture and accessories weighing over 50 pounds using appropriate equipment and safety practices.
