POSITION OVERVIEW

The Ralph Lauren Editorial team is seeking a highly creative editorial mind to help shape and articulate the stories that define the Ralph Lauren world.

Working under the Head of Editorial, this role will help develop and execute the brand's storytelling vision across global campaigns, narrative social content, brand experiences, and special projects. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable rewriting a headline, developing a campaign narrative, line-editing copy, conceiving visual storytelling, and contributing to the creative development of advertising campaigns.

This role requires a rare combination of writer, editor, strategist, and creative collaborator. The successful candidate will possess exceptional taste, intellectual curiosity, visual fluency, and a deep understanding of how stories come to life across multiple platforms and formats.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Editorial Leadership & Story Development

  • Partner with the Head of Editorial to develop and evolve the Ralph Lauren narrative across touchpoints.
  • Conceive and develop original story ideas, franchise concepts, campaign narratives, and content series.
  • Create, edit, and refine brand storytelling across a wide range of channels and audiences.
  • Carry a story from campaign concept through every touchpoint, understanding how a narrative changes when it becomes a film, a story for the Polo newspaper, a social post, or a live event
  • Identify cultural, historical, artistic, literary, and lifestyle references that enrich and deepen brand storytelling.

Campaign & Creative Concept Development

  • Collaborate on the development of seasonal campaign concepts that are “video first” in execution.
  • Generate and write campaign narratives, scripts, treatments, and storylines.
  • Participate in the early stages of creative development, helping shape the worlds, characters, settings, and emotional ideas that become still and motion campaigns.
  • Partner with creative, design, production, and marketing teams to ensure narrative consistency throughout campaign execution.
  • Contribute to naming, messaging architecture, headlines, taglines, and campaign language.

Writing & Brand Communications

Write and edit a broad range of materials, including:

  • Campaign copy
  • Product storytelling
  • Social concepts and scripts
  • Experience and exhibition copy

Creative & Visual Collaboration

  • Contribute meaningfully to visual storytelling discussions, not simply written execution.
  • Work with photographers, filmmakers, designers, stylists, and creative partners to shape narrative expression.
  • Participate in image reviews, mood boards, visual research, and creative presentations.
  • Help translate written ideas into visual experiences and vice versa.
  • Maintain a sophisticated awareness of photography, film, publishing, design, culture, fashion, and contemporary creative practices.

Team Leadership & Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted creative partner and sounding board to the Head of Editorial.
  • Help prioritize and manage multiple concurrent initiatives across platforms and business functions.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships throughout the organization.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Exceptional writer and editor with proven ability to work across both long-form and short-form storytelling.
  • Demonstrated experience developing original concepts, narratives, and creative ideas rather than simply executing assigned copy.
  • Strong visual sensibility and ability to participate meaningfully in creative development conversations.
  • Deep cultural literacy spanning fashion, design, photography, film, literature, travel, art, architecture, sport, and lifestyle.
  • Ability to move comfortably between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong editorial judgment and refined taste.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including outside of local time zone as needed.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Ralph Lauren will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records in a manner consistent with the requirements of the law, including any applicable fair chance laws. Please note background checks will be evaluated individually.
