Summary
Engineer 2 on the Endpoint Platform Services team builds, configures, and secures endpoints across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS to enable productivity while ensuring compliance and security. The role focuses heavily on mobile device management including Android and iOS administration, testing, maintenance, and integration with enterprise systems. The position participates in on-call rotations and collaborates with cross functional teams to align mobile policies with business and security objectives.
Responsibilities
- Support mobile device management initiatives for Android and iOS platforms
- Design and implement configuration profiles, compliance policies, and app protection strategies
- Drive end user experience improvements for mobile productivity
- Author engineering level documentation and develop detailed test plans for mobile deployments
- Diagnose and resolve complex mobile device issues with internal teams and IT management
- Support patching, compliance, security, and user experience optimization for mobile endpoints
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to align device policies with business and security goals
- Participate in an on call rotation as needed
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent education and experience
- 3+ years experience with end user computing technologies with emphasis on mobile device management
- Demonstrated experience managing Android and iOS using Microsoft Intune including app deployment and compliance enforcement
- Intermediate scripting experience such as PowerShell or Python for mobile automation
- Familiarity with Windows server and workstation OS and Microsoft technologies such as AD, DNS, GPO, IIS, SQL
- Experience with enterprise application packaging tools including Intune, AutoPkg, CMPackager, or InstallShield
- Experience with configuration and mobile device management tools such as Jamf, Configuration Manager, MobileIron, or Soti
- Understanding of source version control and monitoring tools such as GitLab GitHub New Relic or Splunk
