Summary
Maintains, repairs, and supports building systems and equipment at a Neiman Marcus retail store. The role covers preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, safety inspections, and support for facility projects and store systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on building equipment and the building envelope.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment including HVAC, boilers, generators, vertical transportation, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and dock doors.
- Order maintenance supplies and assist with maintenance expense management and capital planning.
- Maintain or coordinate building energy management systems and support point-of-sale, telephone, and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Respond to after-hours and emergency calls and work overtime when required.
Requirements
- Vocational school or college education focused on mechanical or electrical work.
- Two to five years of experience, four years of apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a mechanical or electrical field.
- Background in building maintenance, electrical work, and HVAC.
- Ability to prioritize assignments, work independently and collaboratively, and communicate effectively with colleagues, management, contractors, and vendors.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and climb ladders; knowledge of Safety Data Sheets.
- Ability to respond to emergency calls and work with limited time off between Black Friday and January 8.
