Engineering Optical Tech

As an Engineering Optical Tech, you will be responsible for the deployment and support of Essilor Luxottica Digital Products. You will oversee autonomous project deployment, including the installation and setup of DS production and related equipment, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. You will also provide ongoing technical support and continuous process improvement to labs licensed to produce Essilor Luxottica Digital products.

• Install, set up, and validate DS equipment, working with technicians, lab personnel, and Essilor resources.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and processes at DS Labs.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, calibrate, and repair electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical DS equipment problems.
• Analyze DS lens production quality and make necessary machine or process adjustments.
• Train lab employees in technical responsibilities and tasks of the Essilor Luxottica Digital Surface process.
• Coordinate and execute equipment/product validations at new installations or processes.
• Provide 2nd level call support for troubleshooting and repairing equipment issues.
• Perform machine, process, and quality audits continuously.
• Maintain accurate records and issue timely reports on equipment operations and processes.
• Communicate progress, status, and issues to Digital Deployment Manager and Essilor.

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Experience in a Wholesale Lab processing environment with strong lens surfacing aptitude.
• Experience with Digital Surface or related technology is strongly desired.
• Ability to troubleshoot electronic and mechanical equipment issues.
