Experienced Jeweler

Summary

The Experienced Jeweler performs repairs and alterations on new and client-owned jewelry at a service center, working with precious metals and specialty materials. Key duties include soldering, laser welding, fabrication, stone setting, finishing and hallmarking while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires meeting productivity targets, managing workflow and collaborating with administration and management.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and alterations on assigned orders according to quality and design standards.
• Complete specialty craft work such as complex setting, enameling, fabrication and finishing.
• Inspect orders for defects, note or escalate issues and ensure completed work meets standards.
• Meet or exceed productivity targets and manage assigned orders to meet due dates.
• Maintain an organized bench, secure parts/materials and request supplies as needed.
• Support center operations by assisting with alternate craft work, workflow management and special projects.
• Comply with occupational health and safety procedures and maintain a safe workstation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant jeweler experience.
• Proven soldering, laser welding and diamond/stone-setting experience.
• Ability to perform precision fabrication, assembly, finishing and hallmarking.
• Flexible schedule with ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Strong attention to detail, customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
