Job Description

Summary

The Export Specialist provides technical expertise in export management supporting daily outbound operations for Richemont North America. This role ensures compliance with US export regulations and coordinates with internal teams, customs brokers, 3PLs, and government agencies to resolve export issues and process shipments to various countries.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily outbound export operations and prepare export shipments.
  • Work with customs brokers to obtain prompt releases from US Customs and partner government agencies.
  • Verify shipment documentation for valuation, classification, country of origin, and OGA requirements.
  • Audit and maintain export shipment documents in document control systems.
  • Designate Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes for exported materials.
  • Liaise with shippers, consignees, 3PLs, brokers, and overseas offices.
  • Perform special tasks related to export operations as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of export experience.
  • Understanding of US import and export regulations including CBP, FWS, FDA, USDA, and BIS.
  • Knowledge of import/export processes, documentation, Incoterms, and modes of transport.
  • Familiarity with Harmonized Tariff Schedules.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office; SAP and ACE Direct EEI filing are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
