Job Description

Summary

The Eyewear Designer will expand the design team’s capacity and lead the identification of future product, color, and trend opportunities. This role supports end-to-end design from concept through production and owns non-frame product development while coordinating cross-functional input. The position is based in the New Orleans headquarters with periodic travel to New York and reports to the Senior Product Designer.

Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end design and development of new products, from concept through production.
  • Research trends, color, materials, and consumer insights to identify future product opportunities.
  • Develop seasonal color palettes and product concepts aligned with brand direction.
  • Own design and development of non-frame products, including briefing and cross-functional coordination.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop products that support campaign, merchandising, and channel needs.
  • Prepare sketches, renderings, specifications, and presentation materials to communicate design intent.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Sourcing, and external vendors to refine designs and resolve production challenges.
  • Maintain organized product documentation, samples, and development timelines.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of eyewear development experience with demonstrated forecasting and merchandising judgment.
  • Proficiency or experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to create and maintain processes and systems.
  • Result-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a high-performance environment.
  • Comfort with trying on frames and documenting fit through modeling of the product.
