Job Description

Summary

As a Fabrics Intern at Carolina Herrera in New York, you will gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry, working closely with various departments to enhance your skills beyond the classroom setting. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage with the business world and contribute to the future of fashion.

Responsibilities
  • Organize the fabric library by season.
  • Enter fabric data into software with complete accuracy for production use.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including preparing deliveries and pick-ups, swatching print pitch sheets, and shipping out fabric development packages.
  • Collect fabric research packages and price fabric selection.
  • Create seasonal cards with fabric swatches and technical information.
  • Maintain and update the fabric board as needed.
  • Create and maintain fabric rings with seasonal swatches.
  • Assess information in the fabric chart for accuracy.
  • Source fabrics with local retailers as needed.
  • Recolor print CADS when necessary.
  • Track simple fabric shipments and provide outstanding documents when needed.
  • Manage incoming fabric rolls with the team.
Requirements
  • Must be a current student or recent graduate.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Good sense of color and detail-oriented.
  • Neat presentation skills.
  • Basic fabric knowledge.
