Summary
Responsible for day to day cleanliness maintenance and basic facilities tasks to ensure a safe welcoming environment at the Tribeca location. Role includes routine cleaning sanitation minor repairs and support for workspace setups.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping mopping dusting vacuuming and disinfecting surfaces
- Clean and restock restrooms break rooms and common areas
- Empty trash and recycling and ensure proper waste disposal
- Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies such as spills or accidents
- Conduct regular inspections to identify cleanliness safety or maintenance issues
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs unclogging drains and replacing air filters
- Report repair needs or safety hazards to Facilities Manager or appropriate personnel
- Assist with office or workspace setups including moving furniture or equipment
- Monitor and restock cleaning and maintenance supplies and maintain organized inventory
Requirements
- Previous experience in janitorial custodial or facilities support is a plus
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals equipment and procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good physical stamina able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable and punctual with ability to work early mornings or evenings depending on schedule
- Familiarity with safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment
