Facilities Engineer

Summary

The Facilities Engineer maintains, repairs, and supports the building systems and equipment in a luxury retail store. The role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, safety inspections, and coordination of facility projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections on building equipment and systems.
• Inspect and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, generators, boilers, lighting, and other facility equipment.
• Order maintenance supplies and assist with expense management and capital planning.
• Maintain or coordinate building energy management systems and provide support for store systems.
• Respond to after-hours and emergency calls as needed.

Requirements

• Vocational school or college education focused on mechanical or electrical systems.
• Two to five years of relevant experience, four years of apprenticeship, or equivalent experience.
• Background in building maintenance, electrical work, and HVAC.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and collaboratively, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform routine bending and reaching, and climb ladders.
• Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets.
