Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. This role performs routine cleaning, restocking of supplies, light repairs, and submits service tickets for maintenance issues while supporting store presentation and hygiene standards. The position may be offered full time or part time based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and spot carpet cleaning
- Manage and restock cash wrap, office, and packaging supplies
- Monitor interior lighting and submit service tickets for repairs
- Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior glass, doors, windows, and displays
- Handle waste management and maintain trash receptacles
- Clean and sanitize break room, bathroom areas, and kitchen appliances
- Remove expired items from refrigerators and organize office spaces
- Replenish bathroom supplies and uphold hygiene standards
- Support an inviting store environment through organization and presentation
Requirements
- Retail or similar high-volume specialty environment experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and store personnel
- Capable of standing, walking, lifting up to 30 lbs, and maneuvering around store areas
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and performing light maintenance tasks
- Ability to operate a register and assist on the sales floor as needed
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and occasional travel or overnight shifts
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with management and co-workers
