Facilities Maintenance Technician I

Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician I helps maintain a safe, well-maintained store environment across multiple store and Rack locations. Under close supervision, this role performs preventive maintenance and assists with monitoring building systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, respond to on-demand maintenance requests, and maintain accurate records.
• Complete daily inspections and building rounds.
• Assist with troubleshooting and basic repairs to plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.
• Use manuals, blueprints, schematics, and circuit diagrams to support repairs.
• Respond to emergencies, provide customer service, and escalate issues when needed.
• Follow safety requirements, applicable codes, and company directives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience or training.
• Basic knowledge of trade skills, mechanical systems, and power tools; willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and communicate effectively.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and off-hours support.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders and lift or carry 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.
