Summary
The Facilities Manager oversees repairs, maintenance, facility operations and architectural preservation for North American stores. They coordinate with store management, regional teams and vendors to identify issues and develop sustainable solutions, handling scheduling, negotiation and follow through for millwork, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other systems.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance for stores including ordinary and extraordinary work
- Build and maintain relationships with Store Directors and Operations Managers
- Schedule and conduct site visits to ensure store conditions meet regional standards
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate cost proposals
- Implement and train teams on Service Channel for maintenance coordination
- Create and maintain database of floor plans, specifications, materials and preferred vendors
- Review installations on-site and verify correct completion of repairs and improvements
- Assist with new store handovers and punch lists with project managers
- Respond to urgent facilities issues and provide off-time availability
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in high-end retail projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive attitude with strong problem solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, millwork and MEP systems
- Experience negotiating vendor contracts and managing OPEX and CAPEX maintenance
- Strong interest in luxury and fashion industry trends
- Ability to travel up to 20%-30%
- Knowledge of Italian is a plus
