Summary
The Facilities Operating Engineer is responsible for repair and maintenance of process and building equipment at The Landmark, performing preventative maintenance, in-house project and fabrication work, and supporting contractors and vendors to ensure safe and reliable building operations.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain HVAC, plumbing, process piping, wastewater treatment, electrical and lighting systems
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program
- Test and inspect emergency and life safety systems to meet FM NFPA OSHA and agency standards
- Perform project and fabrication work and procure necessary parts and supplies
- Communicate with outside vendors for service support and parts
- Support outside contractors scheduled to complete projects within the facility
- Maintain adequate inventory to support facility operations
- Work safely by following required procedures and report incidents and safety issues
Requirements
- 3 years of related experience
- Certificates of fitness Q01 S13 S12 A35 S95 F01
- Ability to use power tools and craft equipment
- Ability to read blueprints
- Basic plumbing pipefitting carpentry and fabrication skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Availability for after hours emergency calls flexible hours including evenings weekends holidays and overtime
