Facilities Tech 2

Summary

The Facilities Tech 2 maintains and repairs building and material handling systems at a distribution center. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots equipment, and supports maintenance projects and team training.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and maintain material handling systems, conveyors, and building equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems using test equipment and troubleshoot relay logic and related components.
• Operate lifts, forklifts, hand tools, and energy management equipment as needed.
• Lead preventative maintenance procedures, assist with technician training, and manage work orders with labor and parts data.
• Collaborate with Operations and other departments to develop maintenance solutions and support facility goals.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of material handling equipment operation and repair, and power, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of control systems and PLCs preferred; robotics knowledge preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand or walk during shifts of up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
