Facilities Tech 2

Summary

The Facilities Tech 2 performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for building and material handling systems. The role also supports maintenance projects and helps develop solutions to complex operational problems.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment and follow safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair material handling systems, conveyors, and electrical and electronic control systems.
• Operate forklifts, lifts, hand tools, and energy management equipment as needed.
• Lead preventive maintenance procedures and assist with technician training plans.
• Create and close work orders, recording labor hours, maintenance, and parts used.
• Maintain positive working relationships across departments.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of material handling equipment operation and repair.
• Advanced knowledge of power tools and pneumatic or hydraulic tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of control systems and PLCs preferred; robotics knowledge preferred.
