Facilities Technician 1 - West Coast Omni Center

Summary

The Facilities Technician 1 executes preventative maintenance and supports troubleshooting and diagnostics for material handling equipment and building systems at the West Coast Omni Center. The role collaborates with Operations to design maintenance solutions and contributes to achieving building and department goals while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on material handling systems and conveyors
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, reducers, belt trackers, and belt lacing
• Diagnose basic relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components including sensors and starters
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and hand tools safely
• Create and close work orders with labor hours, maintenance details, and parts used
• Support maintenance projects and design solutions for difficult problems
• Maintain positive working relationships across departments
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand or walk during shifts up to 12 hours

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance preferred
• Knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment
• Familiarity with power tools and pneumatic or hydraulic tools
• Basic knowledge of control systems and PLCs preferred
• Working knowledge of a work order system
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to safely operate industrial equipment
