Facilities Technician 2 - Electrical & HVAC - Ala Moana

Summary

The Facilities Technician II helps lead maintenance work across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations in the business node. The role maintains safe, well-functioning stores and supports daily business readiness through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and team guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot building systems, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and store equipment.
• Monitor building controls, respond to alarms and emergencies, and identify and report equipment malfunctions.
• Mentor technicians, support training, and coordinate work with store leaders, vendors, contractors, and property managers.
• Document maintenance in the CMMS, order parts, maintain inventory, and follow safety procedures and applicable codes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; vocational or college education is preferred.
• Five to seven years of hands-on facilities experience, including at least five years in preventive maintenance and HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or related repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot building systems, work independently, communicate effectively, and use Microsoft Office and CMMS tools.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, respond to emergencies, and meet physical requirements including lifting 50 pounds or more.
