Facilities Technician 2 - Electrical & HVAC

Summary

The Maintenance Technician II helps maintain a safe, well-functioning environment across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations. This lead technician performs and coordinates maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance while supporting the Facility Manager and mentoring other technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and other building systems.
• Monitor building controls, conduct equipment rounds, and respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Coordinate with store leaders, vendors, contractors, and property managers; document work and update maintenance records.
• Promote safe work practices, maintain parts inventory, and support technician training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; vocational or college education preferred.
• Five or more years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience, including preventive maintenance and HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
• Knowledge of building systems, computerized maintenance management systems, and Microsoft Office; strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, respond to emergencies, and lift 50 pounds or more.
