Facilities Technician 2 - West Coast Omni Center

Summary

The Facilities Technician 2 executes preventative maintenance and performs troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs of building and material handling systems. This role supports operations by designing maintenance solutions, leading preventative maintenance procedures, and assisting with training plans for service technicians. The technician will operate equipment safely and create and close out work orders with detailed maintenance data.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Troubleshoot maintain and repair material handling systems and conveyors
• Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems using test equipment
• Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic ladder diagrams and control components
• Safely operate forklifts scissor and boom lifts and use hand tools
• Lead preventative maintenance procedures and support maintenance projects
• Assist in leading training plans for service technicians
• Create and close out work orders recording labor hours equipment maintenance and parts used
• Maintain positive working relationships across departments

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with conveyors electrical systems and building maintenance
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment
• Advanced knowledge of power pneumatic and hydraulic tools
• Basic knowledge of control systems and PLCs preferred
• Robotics knowledge preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to move up to 49lbs and stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours
