Facility Engineer

As a Facility Engineer, you will provide technical expertise to support the Operations and Maintenance teams in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while developing and maintaining partner relationships with internal and external customers.

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Develop and maintain a positive working relationship across all Operations facilities.
• Track and facilitate department inventory.
• Move objects weighing up to 50lbs and push/pull wheeled dollies up to 100 pounds.
• Work shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodations.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
• Experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
• Ability to work in noisy distribution environments and on rooftop equipment in extreme temperatures.
• Blueprint and electrical schematic reading skills.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and workload.
• Understanding of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) information.
• Background in conveyor and forklift operation and repair.
