Summary
Maintain, repair, and support building systems and equipment in a luxury retail store. The Facility Engineer performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots critical equipment, and helps coordinate building operations and capital projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on building equipment and the building envelope.
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, generators, boilers, dock doors, and vertical transportation systems.
- Order maintenance supplies and assist with maintenance expense management and capital planning projects.
- Maintain or coordinate building energy management systems and provide support for POS, telephone, and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Respond to after-hours and emergency calls and work required overtime.
Requirements
- Vocational school or college education focused on mechanical or electrical studies, or equivalent experience.
- Two to five years of experience, four years of apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a mechanical or electrical field.
- Background in building maintenance, electrical systems, and HVAC.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and with others, communicate effectively, and follow safety data sheet information.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and climb ladders.
