Job Description

Summary

As a Fashion Design Intern at Nordstrom, you will be immersed in the dynamic world of retail fashion, supporting the design team with various functions and gaining invaluable industry experience. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to design projects and present your work to company leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Support Designers with all design functions for categories or brands, including collaboration preparation, sketching, and coloring CADs.
  • Participate in a design project with defined milestones, deliverables, and deadlines, culminating in a presentation to company leadership.
  • Conduct research to understand customer preferences, trends, and competitive landscape shifts.
  • Build strong relationships through effective communication and follow-through.
Requirements
  • Active college student enrolled in an accredited institution, pursuing a bachelor's or associate's degree in Fashion Design, graduating in 2026 or 2027.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, Adobe CS, and hand-sketching, with adaptability to new technology and systems.
  • Passion for fashion and a keen design eye.
  • Strong collaboration and visual presentation skills.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time schedule and relocate to Seattle for the internship duration.
