Job Description

Summary

As a Field Technician 1 at Nordstrom in Jacksonville, FL, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our stores by supporting hardware, software, and infrastructure. Your technical expertise and commitment to excellent service will be vital in assisting Nordstrom employees and protecting the Nordstrom brand.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quick and effective assistance to users through troubleshooting, remediation, and preventative maintenance.
  • Utilize work management systems data to prioritize tasks and communicate updates to customers and leadership.
  • Ensure the protection of customer data and intellectual property by implementing appropriate security controls.
  • Identify and analyze failure points, creating effective plans and documentation for resolution.
  • Perform maintenance activities to prevent unexpected equipment failures.
  • Consistently deliver within target SLA and KPI’s for the area.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of tech support experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting, testing, or repairing technical equipment.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Dell Desktop/Laptop, POS Systems, Zebra hand-held mobile scanners, and network hardware.
  • High motivation and self-direction with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation.
  • Capability to work in a fast-changing environment and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50lb boxes.
