Job Description

Summary

As a Finance Intern at Nordstrom, you will be an integral part of the finance organization, gaining hands-on experience and insight into the retail fashion industry. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on strategic projects and apply fundamental finance and accounting concepts in a real-world setting.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in a strategic project with defined milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Present project outcomes directly to company leadership at the end of the summer.
  • Apply and understand fundamental concepts, general administrative principles, practices, and procedures of finance and accounting.
  • Provide support for the financial cycle, including variance analysis and insight reporting.
  • Collaborate with and learn from experienced members of the finance team.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • Anticipated graduation date of Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for creating reports, running queries, and creating pivot tables.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to relocate to Seattle for the duration of the 10-week summer internship.
