Fitter Tailor Or Sewer

As a Fitter, Tailor, or Sewer at Saks Fifth Avenue in Columbus, you will be an essential member of the tailoring team, providing exceptional customer service and tailoring expertise. You will work in a dynamic environment, focusing on delivering high-quality alterations and fittings for luxury merchandise.

• Model all Saks Fifth Avenue Customer Service Principles.
• Achieve and exceed individual performance and productivity goals.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships and provide a high level of customer service.
• Adhere to all Saks Fifth Avenue policies and procedures.
• Follow alteration workroom policies and tailor procedures.
• Make alterations decisions during customer fittings.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Support company, store, and department initiatives.
• Perform ad hoc responsibilities as needed.

• Minimum 3 years of fitting and tailoring experience in high-end merchandise.
• Ability to fit and perform alterations on a wide range of garments.
• Strong technical background in specialty skills such as leather, knits, double face, beading, fine tailoring, and buttonholes.
• Proficiency in using standard sewing, pressing, and spotting equipment.
• Experience with specialty machines like Double-blind, Buttonhole, Cover-stitch, and Leather.
• Knowledge of the alterations industry, including fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
