Summary
Lead daily floor operations and Métier management for a luxury boutique, providing hands on coaching, merchandising oversight, and strategic direction to achieve sales and budget goals. Act as a partner to the Managing Director, support cross departmental communication, and represent store leadership when required. Drive team performance through training, contests, and monthly reporting to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and train the selling team with consistent floor presence
- Manage Métier merchandising and visual standards for assigned floors
- Prepare for and participate in bi-annual buying events for areas of responsibility
- Build selling campaigns and contests to drive incremental business
- Provide weekly reporting and present business updates at leadership meetings
- Conduct monthly individual productivity reviews and deliver performance appraisals
- Prepare inventories and cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies with operations
- Represent store leadership in absence of the Managing Director
- Manage P&L responsibility including sales, budget adherence, and shrinkage goals
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years prior store management or flagship assistant store manager experience
- Previous buying experience related to floor responsibility
- Experience managing multi person teams and reporting to executive management
- Bachelor's degree preferred and strong presentation skills
- Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office; PowerPoint preferred
- Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze sales and productivity
- Effective decision making, time management, and conflict coaching abilities
- Professional demeanor and experience working with clients and public
- Willingness to travel 3-5 weeks annually
