Job Description

Summary

Lead floor operations and Métier management at the Maison Madison flagship, providing day to day supervision, coaching, mentoring and training of the selling team to ensure exceptional client service and achievement of sales and budget goals. Act as a partner to store leadership and merchants, manage merchandising and inventory responsibilities, and represent store leadership in the absence of the Managing Director.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent floor presence and supervise, coach and mentor selling team.
  • Manage Métier merchandising and ensure visual standards are met.
  • Prepare for and attend bi-annual podium buys and support buying activities.
  • Monitor stock needs and communicate with Managing Director operations and merchant teams.
  • Drive team motivation through campaigns contests and measurable selling initiatives.
  • Report weekly business updates including sales to plan and team highlights to leadership.
  • Analyze business performance and implement strategies to improve floor results.
  • Conduct monthly individual productivity meetings set goals and deliver performance appraisals.
  • Oversee inventories cycle counts and partner with operations for discrepancy reconciliation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years prior store management or flagship assistant store manager experience.
  • Prior buying experience related to floor responsibility.
  • Experience managing multi person teams and reporting to executive management and merchants.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong coaching decision making and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze productivity and deliver presentations to executive visitors.
  • Comfortable with calculations formulas and inventory procedures.
  • Ability to manage stress multitask and resolve store issues effectively.
  • Willingness to travel 3-5 weeks annually including trips to Paris.
