Front Line - Associate Technician

As a Front Line Associate Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production process, working in areas such as surface, coating, or finish. Your responsibilities will include beveling, mounting, edging, blocking, tinting, and inspecting lenses, ensuring high-quality vision care products.

• Prep and monitor trays for edging and utilize the bevel wheel to remove sharp edges of lenses.
• Mount lenses in standard and specialty frames, and perform roll and polish to smooth and gloss edges.
• Prepare uncut lenses for edging by cleaning and setting up automatic machines.
• Accurately tint lenses and inspect them for optical and cosmetic accuracy.
• Monitor automated surfacing equipment and perform tasks such as blocking, polishing, and washing lenses.
• Scan and sort jobs for coating treatments and inspect lenses after scratch coat application.
• Perform all duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and maintain production goals.

• High School education or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement goals and procedures.
• Basic math skills and understanding of decimal numerical sequencing.
• Previous related experience and/or training preferred.
