Job Description

Summary

Curating Associate responsible for executing and maintaining the visual presentation and client experience at the Palo Alto Stanford Gallery. This role supports gallery leadership to drive sales through thoughtfully constructed floor sets and a refined design point of view. The ideal candidate has a passion for luxury home furnishings, polished presentation, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Gallery Leadership, Curators, and corporate partners to execute creative vision and enhance the client experience.
  • Coordinate and install merchandise floor sets while maintaining visual integrity and planogram compliance.
  • Train and mentor gallery staff on visual standards, signage, merchandising updates, recovery, and gallery maintenance.
  • Drive team engagement and accountability to achieve sales and presentation goals.
  • Assist with inventory integrity, auditing planograms, and providing creative input on visual directives.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of visual merchandising experience in luxury retail or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a refined sense of personal style and taste.
  • Proficiency with Mac OS, iOS devices, Microsoft Office, and Google Applications; ability to leverage platforms to track inventory and request replacements.
  • Highly organized, strategic, results-oriented, and detail focused with strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to lift and mobilize items up to 30 lbs., maneuver on the gallery floor and in stock rooms, and basic knowledge of power tools.
