Summary
Lead and coordinate facility maintenance and housekeeping for the gallery to ensure world-class service and optimal equipment and facility condition. Oversee building and grounds maintenance, contractor relationships, budgeting for supplies and repairs, and enforce safety and regulatory standards. Hire train and develop maintenance staff while partnering with leadership on capital forecasting and contract negotiation.
Responsibilities
- Lead plan and coordinate facility maintenance and housekeeping activities
- Oversee building and grounds maintenance including landscaping parking HVAC electrical plumbing lighting roofing and fire protection
- Manage maintenance of dock doors dock plates trailer restraints and related equipment
- Maintain a safe work environment by observing and enforcing OSHA and HAZMAT requirements
- Interview hire and train skilled and general maintenance associates
- Forecast capital expenditures and assist in negotiating contractor contracts
- Monitor budgeting to maximize value when purchasing supplies and repair parts
- Arrange for contractor services for specialized repairs
- Provide hands on repair support for material handling equipment as needed
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in maintenance leadership in a high standard operational environment
- Hands on experience repairing material handling equipment
- Ability to build teams gain commitment and manage decision making
- Strong problem solving skills with emphasis on process improvement
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with RF systems
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
