Gallery Facilities Leader

Summary

The Gallery Facilities Leader will oversee maintenance and housekeeping at the Greenwich gallery, ensuring world-class presentation for guests and reliable operation of building systems and equipment. This role leads a team of maintenance and housekeeping associates, manages contractors and capital projects, and enforces safety and regulatory standards. The leader partners with gallery leadership to forecast expenditures, control budgets, and drive continuous improvement in facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and coordinate facility maintenance and housekeeping to meet operational standards
• Oversee building and grounds maintenance including landscaping, parking lot, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, docks, roofs, and fire protection systems
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing OSHA, HAZMAT, and applicable safety requirements
• Interview, hire, train, and supervise maintenance and general maintenance associates
• Forecast capital expenditures, negotiate contracts, monitor budgets, and arrange contractor services for specialized repairs
• Perform or oversee repair and upkeep of material handling equipment and related systems

Requirements

• 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in an operation with high standards of excellence
• Hands-on experience repairing material handling equipment
• Proven ability to build teams, gain commitment, and manage decision-making processes
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on process improvement and analytical aptitude
• Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with RF systems
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
