Summary
The General Manager acts as the CEO of the store, driving desirability and topline performance while delivering a luxury client experience. This role leads talent development, ensures exceptional merchandising and presentation, and owns store P&L and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure every client receives a VIP experience using the 5 C's of Service Excellence
- Cast, coach and develop store employees and build succession plans
- Provide feedback to buyers and planners and uphold presentation standards
- Manage store operations including asset protection and inventory control
- Direct execution of strategies to meet sales, marketing and profit objectives
- Own P&L and achieve key performance indicators such as conversion and average transaction
- Manage selling expenses and achieve payroll percent targets
- Implement and uphold store processes and procedures
- Utilize technology and applications to protect and grow the client base
Requirements
- Relevant retail management experience preferred
- Strong business acumen and leadership skills
- Demonstrated coaching, negotiation and staff development ability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Workday and Outlook preferred
- Ability to operate register and stand or walk for multiple hours
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and use a ladder as trained
- Ability to work across sales floor, stockroom and office environments
